Kayalpatnam.com>How good has been the performance of students (in the Semester Exams) now that the first year
has just got over ?
Mrs.Mercy Henry>The performance of the students of our college is excellent in the semester exams and B.Sc.(Computer Science)
students have secured centum in all the subjects and other major students have got more than 90% in all their subjects.
The second semester results of the senior students are yet to be published by the University. The students and staff show real interest
in their endeavor.

Mrs.Mercy Henry>University ranks will be awarded only at the end of the third year when the students complete their courses of study.

We are expecting 8 more seats in B.Sc Computer Science and 12 more seats in B.Com additionally from the University this year

Students from Authoor, Kulasegarapatnam, Tiruchendur and Pazhyakayal have joined apart from the local Kayalpatnam students.

Kayalpatnam.com>One can still see plenty of construction activity around the college campus. What is the current status in the buildings
construction process? When are they likely to be completed?

The construction of the class rooms is over for the current year. Only the first floor - housing seminar halls and the examination hall -
remains to be completed which also will be over before the end of this month

Mrs.Mercy Henry>The construction of the hostel building will be taken up soon. In the meanwhile staff and students who have opted
for residing in the hostel are accommodated in a new house with all amenities in the main road
Kayalpatnam.com>You have been the Principal of Sarah Tucker College, Palayamkottai. Based on one years experience,
how different or difficult has been your one year at the helm when compared with your experience in Sarah Tucker College?
Mrs.Mercy Henry>Sarah Tucker college is an ancient institution (second in India and first in South India for girls) which needs guiding of
activities and channelising of resources But this institution has just started to crawl and this has to go a long way in establishing and maintenance
of quality education. These aims could well be achieved within a short span of time as the institution has been taken up by an individual family
(Wavoo) with enough resources and hence the task of Higher Education for Kayalpatnam students is much easier.
