Kayalpatnam.com>What is the current status of the College construction process? Has all the necessary approvals been received from University and other authorities?
Mr.Mohuthazeem>Construction of the Ground Floor concrete roofing will be over by 20th April, 2006 and the whole first year block will be completed by 15th of May, 2006. Government permission has been granted vide G.O. No. 8A dtd. 25.1.2006. We are awaiting Manonmaniam Sundaranar University's affiliation

Mr.Mohuthazeem>Admission will be started after one week from the announcement of Plus 2
examinations results and classes will be started on the 15th of June, 2006

Mr.Mohuthazeem>To impart higher education to the women of Kayalpatnam and the surrounding areas
- which would ultimately improve the rate of literacy and the economic status

Mr.Mohuthazeem>2 crores of rupees in 3 years
Kayalpatnam.com>What are the courses that you have planned to offer?
Mr.Mohuthazeem>B.A. (English Literature), B.Com and B.Sc. Computer Science (all first years)

Mr.Mohuthazeem>64 students for each arts and commerce group. 48 students for science group.
It is of course subject to the approval by the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University

Mr.Mohuthazeem>This will be a minority institution. But it can be claimed only after the
commencement of the college

Mr.Mohuthazeem>Preference will be given to the natives of Kayalpatnam
Kayalpatnam.com>In terms of infrastructure - both physical and quality staff - what special steps have you planned to take?
Mr.Mohuthazeem>The Principal of Sarah Tucker College, Palayamkottai [Dr. (Mrs) Mercy Henry] - who is retiring in May 2006 - will become the Principal of our college. A Steering Committee has been formed with eminent educationists and muslim principals of various colleges to guide staff selection

Mr.Mohuthazeem>Job oriented and specialised courses will be offered in the coming years

Mr.Mohuthazeem>First word of the college name Wavoo refers to the family (behind the project) and the second word Wajeeha is the founder's spouse's name

Mr.Mohuthazeem>At south Kayalpatnam, on Tuticorin and Tiruchendur route - just before Kattu Magdoom Palli

Mr.Mohuthazeem>Wavoo SAR Educational Trust has allotted 5 acres of land for the college
Kayalpatnam.com>Will the college include hostel facility as well?
Mr.Mohuthazeem>In the first year, hostel accommodation will be provided in a rented building under
the control of teaching and non-teaching lady staff. Transportation will be provided for the students
Kayalpatnam.com>What are your future plans on the education front?
Mr.Mohuthazeem>We are planning to start a B.Ed. College in the near future
