Kayalpatnam.com>Did you expect to come first among all students in Kayalpatnam?
Ms.Zainab>Yes, I had the confidence that I would come first in Kayalpatnam. But I never had the
over confidence and never under-estimated my fellow competitors. They are equally talented students too.
Kayalpatnam.com>What have you planned to do for your UG studies? What have you chosen to be your career?
Ms.Zainab>By Allah's Grace, I have planned to do either Medicine or Engineering.
Kayalpatnam.com>What role did your school and the teachers play in your performance?
Ms.Zainab>My school and teachers have played a vital role in encouraging me, especially my
headmistress Mrs.Mehboobu Nisha. She motivated me and guided me at all times. My subject teachers have
done a great deal of help to me. I used to write tests before the morning classes and also during the
lunch break. My teachers have sacrificed their free time and had coached me tirelessly. They have a very
friendly approach and they make sure that all their students understood their subjects very well. I would
like to thank them all for their love and affection
Kayalpatnam.com>How important was the support of your family and friends?
Ms.Zainab>My parents never forced me to study. They gave me my own free space to take decisions
about my education. I would consider that to be the secret of my confidence. They encouraged me, showed
me the right path and never deviated my mind. I am really luck to get such parents and thanks to Almighty
Allah. My friends have been my backbone in studies. We used to have group discussions, exchange question
papers and share our knowledge. My grandparents' prayers and blessings have given me this fame.
Kayalpatnam.com>How many marks did you score in your SSLC?
Ms.Zainab>I scored 436 in my SSLC. Actually - I was doing my 10th standard (O Level) in Singapore.
Due to my dad's job transfer, I had to come to India. I came to know that the SSLC exam was in April. Having
just one month left, I just thought of giving it a try. With the help of my grandfather Dr.Mahboob Subuhani,
I got the hall ticket under the tatkal scheme. Without his help, I would not have completed my 10th. I felt
that 436 marks was more than enough for my 20 days hard work. This credit goes to my grandfather, Dr.Subuhani.
Thanks to Almighty Allah.
Kayalpatnam.com>How good is the quality of teaching in the school? Did you attend any tuition for any of the subjects?
Ms.Zainab> My school Zubaidah Higher Secondary School is the best school in Kayalpatnam. My school has all the facilities that students need. I would like to thank heartfully the correspondent of Wavoo trust. They (school) showed respect to students' voices and provided us a comfortable school. Our Correspondent and Secretary often asked our
suggestions and helped us a lot. I attended tutions in order to cope with the Indian curriculum which was new to me. I attended tuitions for chemistry, physics and maths as I wanted extra coaching and tests. My chemistry teacher Abdul Cader sir inspired me so much and lifted my spirits whenever I was down. Same with Chellappa sir and Buhary sir.
Kayalpatnam.com>Normally how many hours per day would you study?
Ms.Zainab>I usually study 3-4 hours per day. I make sure that I have completed my day's work and
am ready for next day's classes.
Kayalpatnam.com>Did you have any time for other extra-curricular activities like sports etc?
Ms.Zainab>No, I did not have much time to have my extra-curricular activities. I sometimes play badminton
during weekends
Kayalpatnam.com>What is your opinion of the facilities in Kayalpatnam for education? Do you think it is satisfactory? From a student's point of view, what improvement you think should be made in the field of education in Kayalpatnam?
Ms.Zainab>I feel that Kayalpatnam has almost all the necessary facilities for education. Yes - it is satisfactory. As a student, I think that the surroundings of every school should be improved. We should have separate blocks for primary, secondary and higher secondary students so that it creates a peaceful study atmosphere
Kayalpatnam.com>As some one who had come first in Kayalpatnam, what is your advise and tip to youngsters who would be taking their Plus Two examinations in the future?
Ms.Zainab>My advise to youngsters is that never put your today's work for tomorrow as you all know that
tomorrow is never going to come. First give preference to Islam and then to studies. Early morning studies worked out well for me. Keep a time schedule and follow it accordingly. Have a goal and study. Insha Allah, every student of our Kayalpatnam will bring pride and prosperity to our place
Kayalpatnam.com>Tell us about your family.
Ms.Zainab>We are joint family. My father Mr.S.A.K. Sahul Hameed is currently working for Jet Airways as Manager - Pricing in Senior Managerial grade. My dad is my inspiration. My grandfather is Dooty Ahamed Sahib Haji, a renowned businessman. My grandfather Dr.Mahboobu Subuhani M.D.,D.M. is a well-known cardiologist in Galaxy Hospital, Tirunelveli
