- Does TNEB - Tuticorin ever do load shedding in any part of Tuticorin District at
any time during the year?
There is no scheduled load shedding done in any part of Tuticorin district during the year.
The state load despatch centre is governing (SLDC/Chennai) the optimum scheduling and
despatch of electricity within the state through the state sub load despatch centre (SSLDC)
Madurai for this area.
On the direction of state load despatch centre, shedding of load will be carried out to maintain
load and generation balance for the security of the network.
- From where does Kayalpatnam get its electricity?

named Arumuganeri Kayalpatnam 11 KV feeder.
- Is there any scheduled load shedding in effect in Kayalpatnam during this season - March,
April, May 2007?
There is no specific scheduled load shedding in Kayalpatnam area.
Load shedding condition was necessitated due to loss of any circuit, equipment or any
operational condition that may occur in the distribution network. Hence based on the instruction
of state sub load despatch centre, Madurai, shedding of loads was carried out in almost all the
feeders of Arumuganeri 110/33-11 KV SS on rotational basis to maintain load generation.
Now the position has improved and the shedding of load in Kayalpatnam was not carried out
after 16.04.2007
