Mr.A.D.K. Jeyaseelan is a former DMK MP from Tiruchendur Parliamentary constituency
in the last Lok Sabha. Born on March 20, 1945 in Nazareth, he is married and has two
daughters.
His educational qualification is M.A. (Eco.), Ph.D. (Eco.), B.G.L. (Law) and had studied in
Loyola College, Madras University, Chennai and Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai and Madras Law College,
Chennai.
Actively interested in Sports (he had captained the Madras University soccer team in 1966), he has been the
President of Margoschis Club, Nazareth for many years. He has also been the Prinicpal and Secretary of
Nazareth Margoschis College.
While he was in the Parliament, he had served as committee member on Human Resource Development, the
Empowerment of Women and on the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He has also
published a book on Economics of Palmyrah Industry in Tamil Nadu
