The judges have kept themselves away from the central issue and drifted into the grey areas of compromise and negotiation. We all know that for initiating negotiations we do not need to take lessons from the judiciary — it has been a part of Indian culture for long. Courts are supposed to do what they are expected to do in accordance with the provisions of the law.
