Yet an another false information.

Public protest has nothing to do with Court order. We people gathered to protest against the government's ("Slum Clearance Board" - A govt., department) decision to go head with the Tsunami project. Not to influence the Law court.

Law court makes orders based on laws and arguments put forward to it. The Honorable Judge ordered "Temporary Stay" . He also ordered government Surveyor to measure the distance (between sea-shore and the project starting point) and submit his report to the court. The government staves came to our town and measured the distance. We do not know when is the next hearing.

I believe the Judge ordered the "Stay" based on CRZ (Coastal Regulation Zone) Act which Aikkiya Peravai did not want to invoke at the early stage, which we knew why. (Had it not been CRZ Act, The Judge would not have ordered to measure the distance).

I am sure Aikkiya Peravai will not agree with Bro. Abdulkader (Abudhabi).
