I was there that night, It was like a get together to get to know each other. A great opportunity for the members to introduce themselves to the chairman/ President and to the public.
Unfortunately 4 elected ward members were missing. No reason was given. At least they should have the courtesy/decency to call the chairman or the organizers to explain their absence. People start wondering why are they missing? Are they busy thanking their voters or are they under high command and were ordered not to participate?
They missed the boat.
Above all our ex-president Mr. Wavoo Seyed Abdul Rahman failed to appear. No reason was given. Was he in town? or Was Egoism play its part? Is it not his moral duty to attend such meeting? At least he should have send a message to the new comers.
Probably he will attend the inaugural ceremony on 25th of this month.
It was nice to see both our ex-presidents Mrs. Naatchi Thamby and Mrs.Waheeda.
