Sad to see less comments on good things but many on junks. Any how, I know Br.Hasan has been working since last March to bring up this 'Microkayal (MK)' which is based on kiva's Micro finance concept but the difference is, free money to the needy. Finally he suceeded in the first step. As suggested, the time bound (30 days or 1 week) should be based on the targetted amount & priority.

Its a wonderful thought & gonna fantastic online fundraising for the needy people. Turning it into reality is in our hands by supporting it. Am pretty sure, many individuals will come forward to contirbute based on the need, raised amt & their capacity.

Correct me if my understanding is wrong in the current process. Needy mail the request to KWA's & its discussed in their meetings which happens once a month or quarter. Then verification & distribution process starts. Finally, it takes 3 to 6 months for the needy to get that help. By the time needy gets that money, he/she wouldn't in need of that help (i.e. some KWA or individuals might have fulfilled but still they pocket this money) or patient would have reached the next stage (say critical) in their disease since the help didnt reach them on time.

We always talk about duplicates. To my knowl. nothing has happened. Something was started in the name of kayal.org (or something) to let KWA's share needy info themselves. Not all KWA's took part in it.Not sure the site is still up & info sharing is happening. I guess all KWA's prefers the applications come to them, approved in their monthly/qtrly mtgs,funds distro thru their local reps & finally its gonna in their milestones. Nothing wrong in it but whether the needy gets the help ontime & how do you ensure the help is not duplicated.

MK sounds me like another opportunity for us to bring up this unified single distribution system (USDS) incase if all KWA's agrees to it. KWA's will not lose their credits & the help they extend still go into their achievements/records (thru portfolio). It will stop mailing appn to as many KWA's by needy,waiting time & duplicates (all medical request should go only thru MK). Visibility on progress of the needy/medical requests to all kwa's/individuals & they can help whoever they want. KWA's local rep also can work with Micro kayal verification team. It will result in helping more people & quick in addrressing the needy's request as well.

It is just my 2 cents & its all upto KWA's to make it happen.
