What goes into the slaughterhouse comes out. The traders know for sure whether they are sending healthy cattle to the abattoir or not. Being uneducated is no excuse for not know the quality of the meat they sell.
It is shameful that a slaughterhouse is not equipped with proper stamp/seal/chop. Main purpose of the seal is to certify that the cattle are being slaughtered in the abattoir accordance with the rules and regulations of the government.
The Officials from the health department did the right thing by destroying the unhealthy and unchopped meats. And they should conduct this type of spot checks very often.
Your report failed to mention whether the officials visited the slaughterhouse or not.
