Whilst appreciating the social & religious services done by Br. Abdul Hameed in Dubai & elsewhere, we really have to appreciate him for the efforts taken on this. It becomes important & interesting for us to know about our roots & that can lead to some interesting facts. Not to forget & can be seen by means of cultural, behavioural & colour contradictions even amongst the various sects of people, it can be concluded that there were inter-mingling between societies & the local originators in course of time.

This is good for any ethnic groups or sects for that matter. We have seen scores of Indians & specailly South Indians scroing to the banks of South Africa, to the Islands of Fiji, Malaysia as plantation workers centuries before. And how they adjusted to the region is what an intersting factor here.

The situation of Kayalpatnam is vice versa & it is too obviuos a fact & we can see living examples, resemblances of several of the community people to the behaviours, colour, etc of the Arabs. Certainly this can not be a fact for us to feel we are big or small, nevertheless this is something a case in point or an example.

The services rendered by our brother in this regard are not to be turned away as some individuals who wrote in the trail below. Abdul Hameed in fact has rendered his heart & soul for several important human services & this is only an additional feather to his cap. I have seen him from close angles.

Unfortunately, we in Kayal never uses Surnames or Family names which is a minus point in accessing our roots. Everyone of us have 2 names, but again it is useless to the extent that it bears no resemblance to our family. I can recall when I was way back in Jeddah, my former Boss, who was a Brit, was collecting all the names that originated from his Second name ''Murta" & he had prepared a big list of all ''Murtas'' in his list. Had this been a case with us we can linger to our ancestors, so easily..
