Attention; Br M.M. Seyed Ibrahim
The subject in this case and the point in my article is not whether the judges are independent or in-dependent, but whether Rizana's case was properly investigated - handled or not, where as the general opinion is, it is not and the judgement is biased to favor the localite.
I do not touch the Shariya act here. Even Shariya judgements are not given on flimsy reasons or evidence but it should go to the extend of beyond doubt. In this case from the beginning every thing is shady.
The madam stated she had an argument with Rizana in the morning that induced her to kill the baby. Do you believe that? Is Rizana fluent in Arabic or madam good in Tamil? Madam left the house at 9.30 and the baby reportedly died at 12.30. Would a revengeful person wait 5 hours to commit a murder? There are so many flaws in this case that were against the accuser but, our contention is all were over looked.
Minister Rauff Hakeem in Sri Lanka's parliament on Friday (25) said" Rizana was recruited to do house work not as a baby sitter. So by giving the baby to her to feed, madam committed a mistake". Further like bro Rafeek says, we did not hear from any media that Rizana let the baby to drink the bottle of milk on his own.
Besides, how many white men/women who were sentenced to death were executed? Almost all escaped from the sword due to their countries' intervention. Saudi government yields to them as a reciprocative act to save the miscreant princess who indulge in unlawful acts in host countries especially with women or under the influence of alcohol. Dirty linen of Saudi men are many miles long. Better I do not wash any more.
