I agree with the above comment. Don't think such functions add much value to the students. Normally State toppers and that too from such schools in Namakkal are trained to mug up the whole book. They end up getting huge marks. They do not pose as good examples for the students to bring out their skills. marks are only to enter the so called Medical & Engineering colleges as the Indian curriculum is built on the more marks, the better colleges. So a students IQ or brilliance can't be judged by the amount of marks he/ she scores, instead on the overall Intelligence level in whatever field one's chooses to study & excel in that.
