Congratulations. This is a significant recognition. This is indeed a privileged invitation which is normally extended to those identified to have demonstrated significant leadership capabilities. There is a list of head of states, including Indira Gandhi and Manmohan Singh, participated in this program. Sincere thanks to Almighty.
Your courage in facing the adversaries heads-up straight and refusal to compromise with the devils are some of the attributes that differentiated you from typical “administrators who claim to be leaders” to a leader who is driven by “vision” – the vision to weed out corruption, nepotism and political opportunism. A leader sometimes may have to stand alone, but persevere.
During your visit –
a) You may witness citizenry participation in a functioning political system. Please encourage people participation in the township functioning. Create awareness of people’s rights in the political system and people’s responsibility toward the political system. If people choose wrong people to positions, it is the people who suffer.
b) Significant voters here don’t hesitate to change their political loyalty. Nobody would call here as if they are written off to a political party (as opposed to some in the town attempting to define kayalpatnam as a property of certain political party). It is the parties required to be loyal to people – not the people, because, country belongs to the people!! Not the political parties!!
c) Please question anybody tries to define a structure for democracy. Democracy cannot be fabricated and cannot be factory made. Democracy functions differently for different societies. There are bad examples of governance. If get a chance to visit the city council of Detroit, you may witness an example of how bad leadership ruin a city and bring down to bankruptcy.
d) However the idea of universal human rights is a shared value – one such value is the idea of right to dissent – without which any leadership will become tyranny – which is what happening in most of the Muslim countries and even some in the town dreaming about such tyranny. People should be educated about fighting to keep the rights to choose their leadership and descent any attempt to appoint a leader.
e) Rights to dissent comes with the quality of openness to ideas and thoughts and acceptance to rational changes. Often big problems are solved with ease - not money that solves the problems – rather the openness and willingness towards change.
f) You may learn about democracy within political parties. Leaders evolve and come from the grass-roots. Leaders are elected at the free will of citizens – not appointed. No organization interfere into or try to usurp people’s rights.
Best wishes. Despite adding yet another feather to the crown, may you observe humility.
