Assalaamu Alaikkum. As usual you have predicted, on the basis of ICOP visibility curves, that the waning crescent will be seen on Thursday (30 Jan) which is the 29th day of R. Awwal and the day of conjunction. But, it was not seen with naked eye , as in the past, anywhere in the world. This proves that ICOP is wrong and that Hijri Committee (HC) is 100% right in their concept.

HC has been telling for more than a decade that the waning crescent will NOT be seen with naked eye on the day of conjunction. We are sure that the visibility curves are not dependable. The one which Khalid Shaukat developed for Ramdhaan 1429 divided Holy Ka’bah into two – one on the fasting side and the other on the non-fasting side !! So please do not depend on these curves.

Why should one depend on the curves when Islam shows the STRAIGHT path ?? It would have been better if one depends on the Quran verses and the authentic hadees instead of these curves. From authentic hadeeths we can understand that moon gets covered on a day every month (Conjunction).

In Tafsir Ibn Kathir also it is written that moon gets veiled at the end of the month and such veiling shows the passing of the month. As a Muslim all must believe in the sayings of the Prophet (PBUH) and on the correct explanation of Imam Ibn Kathir (Rah).

Please be convinced that no WANING crescent will be seen, with naked eye , on the day of conjunction. Hence, please do not to publish such news in your site which will only create confusion among the Ummah. Wa Salaam
