Tsunami Housing project and boycot election posted byMeera Sahib (kayalpatnam)[01 April 2011] IP: 117.*.*.* India | Comment Reference Number: 3693
Assalamu alaikkum
It is very unexpected remark by the Aiykkiya Peravai and its members. Kayalpatnam.com is doing a yeoman service to our people. From the letter of the Aikkiya peravai it is clear that it has gone to the hands of politicians.
From the list of attendees only a few are (those aged people) without political allegience. The rest are ardent political followers. Hence they cannot take a proper decision. We must understand the Peravai is for the whole community and represent the people of kayalpatnam.
I see some new people in the Peravai who are "verriers'
(not worriers) of Kalainger.
Boycott is also a means to show our disapproval. It is not against law. It is allowed in the democratic set up. We are not forcing any individual to comply with but taking a unanimous decision on behalf of the Kayalpatnam people.
If Peravai taking a decision and reverting from it will make them lose their identity. It means we need not follow or accept Peravai's decision. We have witnessed so many villages boycot the election for their cause. If this is undemocratic then the whole village must be convicted. This is not so. It clearly shows that there is none to guide the Peravai.
Let Kayalpatnam.com do its service, we are behind you.
I don't know how to write my comments in Tamil in this column. Should I be I would have explained more clearly.
