I think every body here understands the context in which Bro. Ziyaudeen used that. Some might have thought of the word to be awkward, and hence they raised it. I do not read any other intention from those who object to it. The tone of the last disapproving message could have been much better - sounded like it was meant to corner him. Else all's well.

Bro. Ziyaudeen certainly does a wonderful service in keeping these news items interesting. That needs a certain amount of enthusiasm. Count me in to be one among his fans expecting his comments :). Some of whom, who had objected may fall in this group too.

I would still suggest that ambiguous words shall be avoided. Else it leads to a debate, hijacking the real message. On the other hand, if we come across one, lets not get judgmental. Lets give the benefit of doubt to the one who posted it and try to understand the intention behind it. Enough said, lets put this to rest.
