ஏன்பா நசீம் பாபு, எங்களை ஏன் சண்டைக்கு கூப்பிடுகிறாய் :)
It is beyond our control how the govt receives its revenue and how it spends. The unwritten contract between the citizens and govt is that the citizens pay the taxes (and other dues), and receive benefits. Some (உங்கள மாதிரி சீனியர் மேனேஜர்ஸ்) may pay more taxes than what they get. Poor may pay much less tax (atleast Sales Tax) and receive more benefits.
Viewing from an islamic perspective, the sources of these taxes themselves may be wrong. Revenue from soft-pornography (e.g: many Movies, TV programs etc), intoxicants (Tasmac) and other prohibited businesses are haraam. Similarly, some of the Govt's expenditures fall into haraam categories.
In situations where there are mixed elements, we are not expected to be completely out of the system. Our responsibility is only to be sure we are not on the wrong side. An example would be Islamic banks. If a bank follows Shareeah in dealing with individuals, but deals with Riba in transactions involving treasuries or companies, then we can work in the department dealing with individuals. (This example is taken from IslamQA.com)
ஆகவே அரசு தரும் மானியங்களை வாங்கலாம் என்பது என் கருத்து. அந்த மானியங்கள், இலவசங்கள் நல்லவைகள் தானா என்று மட்டும் பார்க்கவும். Allaah knows best.
