I do not drag myself into this controversial argument. But one thing I like to remind all. Allay says in Al-Quran (36-69) that "We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear" . The translation goes like this "We have not taught him poems nor it is necessary for him (Prophet)...........".
More over in other place He says "Those who follow Poets are idlers (வீணர்கள்)".
Kavigar Vairamuth himself said . "கண்ணுக்கு மை அழகு, கவிதைக்கு பொய் அழகு". Poems/Poetry are full of lies Whether in Arabic or Tamil or in any other language for that matter.
