Glad to see some discussions happening around Jamath's to identify right counselors. But am just curious, are we involving or inviting non muslim residents (say mixed community of muslims & non muslims) or their representatives as well in this discussion before Jamath take a call on this (meaning identifying or unanimously selecting counselors for their respective wards).
In this case (ward # 16), some non muslims also living in Maruthuvar street. Not sure whether we've invited or atleast informed them abt this? Are they shouldnt be part of this discussion and have rights to recommend? Am glad, incase if it is taken care already & follwed across all jamaths.
Not sure...how it goes by. I dont want to complicate the things..still interested to know how come only 'Puthupalli jamath' can decide for Ward # 16 since most of the puthukadai st residents & half of the thaika street residents (esp.north) are part of 'Aroosiya palli' jamath since its very closer to them. In this case, It would be good to include Aroosiya jamath members from these streets for joint mashura?
I hope its going to be collective decision of all jamath's incase if there are more than one jamath's or majsids in the particular ward.
