Gents,
As long as the women folks are covered & in decent Islamic ways, there is absolutely no any harm on the women attending gatherings, preachings, etc. Even women folks are allowed to participate in wars. By writing so, I would not expect any one here to claim or equate this to a war or any such likely situations. Although the agenda is different, I only like to reiterate the situation, vis a vis gathering of women, in decent Islamic ways.
It's not that the women are going to dance or do something unislamic. Don't we feel that by hiding them in close doors we are breaking their very human rights. Does Islam says so. Are they not allowed to come in the public fora with correct Islamic dress. Don't we take our wives in the shopping complexes when abroad or to tour in our own country. How many of us say this to be outrageous unislamic. I can't really understand the points here.
Do other men doesn't ever see our women folks when they move elsewhere out of our town. If they are properly dressed in the right dress, it is acceptable in islam & in all likelyhood , good burkha clad women lead by examples & induce the non-believers about th modesty.
Give women the freedom in the most correct islamic ways. The questions raised here as to the mingling of women with men is invalid as any such gatherings in our town always have seperate seatings & screens. One can oppose if men & women are seated hand in hand.
