As mentioned by several people, this is a serious news that can affect any one living in kayalpatnam and the surrounding areas.(rich or poor, People living close to coast or far away etc)
The problem we have here is we don't know the exact cause of the cancer and alse there is little awarness among the people.
We need to take 2 stage approach
1. Create an awarness among the kayal people of different types of cancers, at least with the prevelant ones like breast cancer (like the ones organised by KWA Qatar)
2. Findout the cause of the cancer (by funding a research, which could be conducted by an independent NGO or international charities like cancer research UK.
We understand KWA Qatar has taken a lead on this and We, KWAUK will discuss this in our next meeting and will try to come up with a viable solution inshallah.
