As I have said in my article, I welcome comments from the Middle-east specially from Saudi Arabia with documentary evidence, instead of quoting mere hear say, so that l can pass to various organizations including the UN since Rizana's case has become a history.
I wish to reaffirm here I have already said it was not my intention to touch the Shariya. What the whole world says is, the case was not properly investigated and executions are for Asians and Africans while westerners escape with diplomatic interference. Many such cases are given in detail.
You are wrong. Writing an article is not an easy thing. One has to reach so many sources spending lot of precious time but to critisize it is simple. I could get that portion only. Even in last week's ' Murasoli', DMK leader Karunanithy also used that portion only.
Is not this Mowlawi Mogdoom's version according to my article? Do you accept this statement? If so it contradicts with many of what you have said as Mowlavi said. I request you to give me the full text of Mowlawi Mogdoom's, and also his contact number as BBC Tamil Service will be interested to know his side of story. Let new things come out.
It was true in the beginning the media said the translator was from Karnataka. After that we are not aware of any other translator's involvement, but presently the media says he is a shepherd from Kerala.
Last night when I inquired about Mowlavi Mogdoom from a recruiting agent, he said a lady agent who had seen Rizana at the airport had told him she was thin and school girl like looking and no one would believe she was above 20.
We are not at all aware of the postmortem of the baby in Saudi or in any other country. May I know in which country it was performed? Has the government confirmed it? General opinion is there was no postmortem at all.
Bottle feeding by a come and go servant is different from what a foster mother feeds from her breast. Does not Islam suggest the mother to breast feed her baby till 2 years? Taking care of domestic chores and taking care of an infant are defined differently in Saudi law too though many use servants for both. In this case Rizana was an unlicensed nanny which the Saudi family exploited illegally.
The non Muslim world leaders and world organizations argued for Rizana not for any love of her but they all felt she was not guilty of the said crime.
It was Dr. Mrs. Kifaya Ifthikar, a dentist based in Riyadh, was the regular- monthly visitor to Rizana. She helped her to speak to her family on her cell phone on her visit.
Even that fateful day, according to her interview with BBC, she was on the road to see Rizana after obtaining permission from the authorities, and having informed her family too to be ready to speak, but had to turn back on hearing Rizana was executed. Dr. Kifaya cried in the interview and said few times Rizana was innocent. That was her position through out.
It is said Sri Lanka government is virtually living on house maid's income. It will never stop this and people due to their poverty will not hesitate to risk their life. See what Rizana's mother says; " Those who migrate for employment do so because of economic crises; because they wish to bring better times to their families. It is up to the individual to make the decision but I would like it if the death of our daughter was not invain and if it would help someone else save their life of a cruel end."
Also we have to take note until the last Rizana was asking:
