Online Payment posted byJaved Nazeem (Chennai)[23 April 2011] IP: 14.*.*.* India | Comment Reference Number: 4099
I live in Chennai and for nearly two years, I pay online – haven’t faced any issues. This some what removes the worry of when the measurement is taken, when we need to pay etc. Just now I checked and I think we can pay online for our town too. I’m not sure if people are already aware and I am giving a late info – but in Chennai too, many people are still unaware of this facility. This may solve the issues of at least those who have access to the net.
The procedure is:
1. Go to: https://www.tnebnet.org/awp/TNEB/.
2. Create a new user ID
3. Once in, go to add service number. Select Tirunelveli, from the pull down menu and give the service number.
4. Once the measurement is done, data will be updated in the website. We will be intimated through mail in a couple of days.
5. Go to the website again and pay. The payment options are limited – no HDFC / HSBC as of now, but ICICI netbanking is available.
6. Once paid, you can get it printed. (I normally print it to a pdf and store the soft copy. Get PDF Creator from this link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/ Install it to print to a PDF)
It’ll be nice if some body from our town already using this facility can write about their experience or pls try this and update here.
