Cash Award to Town Topper posted byKoos Aboobacker (Riyadh)[21 June 2011] IP: 195.*.*.* United Kingdom | Comment Reference Number: 5495
My personal opinion is that, awarding such high amounts to the Town Topper is a luxury announcement. I strongly feel that this is not going to be the only motivational factor for producing best results at town level. The students of such caliber will achieve similar feet even if there is no such reward system.
There is no doubt that we should honor such achievement, but not to this extent, considering that IQRA is suffering to meet its own administrative expenses and finding difficulty to have sponsors for its noble service.
We should think about ways to strengthen the financial stability of IQRA.
We should think about the ways to increase the regular sponsorship for IQRA.
We should think about feeding Kayalites about the importance of IQRA in respect to its educational support and excellent service to poor students so that the already provided support can be extended and done at a much higher level, I mean, the reach should be maximized.
I kindly ask the readers to sponsor IQRA for its noble cause and to inform your families to contribute towards the same on regular basis.
I kindly ask the IQRA Management that, in such big occasions, ask the students who have gained from the support of IQRA to give 5 minute short lecture (voluntarily) on how the service of IQRA has supported their educational quest and how it helped in uplifting their life that will help them in supporting their family. This will earn the attention of the public and open their heart for voluntary contribution towards IQRA.
