Are we not deviating from the subject. The subject here is not about the authenticity of a particular hadiths which appears in "Shaheehul Buhary". It is about celebrating the birthday of the Prophet(sal). Time and again certain people are accusing others saying "You people do not respect Shahabaas, Imamas and you do not follow them". I would like to end this subject by asking these people who claimed to be followers of those great people
Which companion of the Prophet (sal) has celebrated the birthday of the Prophet(Sal)?
Which of the four Imams has celebrated or asked his followers to celebrate the birthday of the prophets?
Did Buhary Imam ever celebrate the birthday?
If those people are true to their claim, they should come up with the answer.
I believe celebrating birthday is not an Islamic culture, it is copied from others. Christians celebrate Prophet Jesus (PBUH) birthday. Buddhists celebrate Buddha birthday. Guru Nank's birthday is celebrated by Sikhs.
Is not we ape other's culture?. Praising somebody is not about celebrating his/her birthday, but following his words and practice it in his/her life.
I would like to end my statement by quoting one of the Sayings of the Prophet (sal). "Those who follow the culture/custom of the others (non-believers) are not belongs to us". (I do not remember the hadiths book or its number).
