Mattukulam area ia an illegally occupied property that belong to maraikar appaplli mosques. There was a small lake where people used to bath their cattles. Now illegal occupation has sprung thanks to the most courrupt politicians in collusion with criminals and bootleggers.

There are respectable families living in that area but includes criminal elements who are plundering this area including the nearby red star society and the two age old mosques.

These criminal elements are responsible for thefts and illicit liquor as well as prostitution in that area. These criminal elements are not lo al people but settlers who came to eke out a living. Now these guys have become uncontrollable and they even do not hesitate to attack those who question them. The ward member should do something to ensure safety and security in this area.

A concerned resident of the jamath

During rainy season mattukulam used to be full of water. Now these people are complaining about water logging after occupying this area illegally. They never paid a single paise to either of the mosque. But their money went to these local politician who are nothing but thugs.
